“Money can be a loaded emotional gun”

Typically, people don’t recognize that we have “a relationship” to money which ultimately determines our habits and beliefs around it. Some people ultimately determine our habits and beliefs around it. Some people believe it is a measure of success, while others think of it as simply an exchange for goods and services. If you grew up in a family where money represented power and love, no doubt you were given mixed messages around your sense of self-worth depending on how much money your family had at any given time. The challenges you’re experiencing dealing with your personal finances are directly related to your self-worth. If you’re not feeling confident, there’s a tendency to avoid dealing with your finances.
Start paying attention to where you spend your money and what’s going on in your life when you have the temptation to spend. If you’re feeling anxious, take some deep breaths and go for a walk before you go shopping. It’s the little steps you make that will create positive and lasting change. Above all, remember that money is a tool that is here to serve you in attaining your goals and dreams. You deserve to be prosperous!
